This artifact’s significance lies in its unique synthesis of PGM-era (Greek-Egyptian Magical) cosmology, which motivated my selection. The standing figure is depicted as a possible Egyptian deity (Anubis or Set) facing right, wearing a kilt and a wig, holding the hieroglyphic ankh (symbol of life) in the left hand and a staff with flail in the right hand. Above the head are two stars and a crescent moon motif. The circumferential inscription features:
- Greek vowel sequence αεηιουω
- Jewish mystical divine name ΙΑΩ (YHWH variant)
- The four archangelic names in Greek epigraphic style:
- Οὐριήλ (Uriel)
- Σουριήλ (Suriel)
- Γαβριήλ (Gabriel)
- Μιχαήλ (Michael)
The text follows Hellenistic glyptic conventions with uncial Greek lettering arranged in continuous circular register.
